    Policies on Facebook or Webpage?

Mine needs a password to view. Thinking of changing it so anyone can read them but I'm afraid it might scare some people off. They might see "paid vacation" and run!

    Thoughts?

If they run after reading "paid vacation" that saves you from having to term them later when you are arguing with them about why you get paid for vacations.....kwim?

I agree. Better to have them know upfront rather than waste your time later on.

Mine are DIRECTLY on my website on the very front page in addition to being on the forms page.

I also attach it directly to any inquiries asking to set up a meet and greet and ask that they review it in its entirety prior to meeting with me.

My policies are my policies. They aren't changing, so you'll either learn about them NOW or LATER and you'll either accept them now or never. It just is what it is. I don't want a client who looks at my policies and wants them changed for them. I am not that accommodating.

              OK, you convinced me!

I have a little theory.....when you let parents know right from the start about the policies, even if they are shocked that a Childcare provider would dare to require so much.......it shows we are true professionals and parent respect us that much more. The thing I am trying to learn is this......don't apologize and be matter of fact. It is what it is.....take it or leave it.

Within the past year, I have made the switch to having them directly on our FB page. Most prospective clients come into the interview having read them, and have specific questions in mind. It saves me a lot of time and misunderstanding - as well as weeding out clients who have issue paying for vacation time (mine or theirs) or who want their child not to nap, etc.
