    Busted!!

dcb started back with me after a couple month's hiatus. he's been back and forth on the nap thing for awhile now but last he was here he wasn't napping most days.

So at lunch my other dcb arrives and we started talking about how dcb1 was going down for a nap soon, and dcb2 wouldn't be taking a nap. THen this happened:

"Yeah, [me], I don't take naps at YOUR house anymore. I still take them at my house but I don't take them at your house!"
    "Oh? You nap at home?"
    "Yeah, every day!"
"Oh. Thank you for telling me that, dcb2. That's important information. You WILL be taking a nap here, since you still nap at home."

DCB realized then that he had made an oops. And he promptly started getting upset. "But I don't WANT a nap here! I don't WANT a nap here!" and he started crying.

But sorry dude, you need a nap here if you still nap at home!

Is it possible that mom/dad told him not to nap at your daycare?

Sounds like dcb thought he was going to get away with something...that's funny.

ECS, it's been back and forth since last fall but last dcm and I talked we had decided that he still needed one here. I really doubt that they would have told him not to nap here. They've been clients for a really long time now and trust me a lot.

I think the "don't WANT" to was the most telling part of the conversation. He would rather stay up and watch a movie.
