    Starting March, 2014...

I will be taking at least a two day spring break for myself. Going the beginning of January to the end of May without any time off is insane! I just typed up my 2013 calendar (shush) and noticed that from June to December I have at least one day off every month but August, and often two days. No wonder I get so flipping burned out at this time of year, every year.

It only took me four years to notice a pattern (well I might not have been burned out the first year....).
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

    Good for you! happyface

You are right though, working long stretches of time with no break is tough!

I make a point of never working for more than six straight weeks without some time off.

Sometimes I will even just take a half day and close at noon on Friday. Helps ALOT!!

I have paid vacation and holidays off and if I close otherwise, I don't always charge. Depends on the day, time, circumstances and how many families have issues with it.

That is too long without a break!
I take MLK, President's, and Good Friday off for the Months between Jan and May.

I do about the same with vacations and time off. I have 6 paid federal holidays and 5 paid personal days, and am adding in my contract that I take at least 5 unpaid personal days as well--and that two of them are in the spring. It's amazing the learning curve this job has. I'm finally the one handling the money in our house so I can plan for unpaid time off, which was one of the reasons I haven't really done it in the past.

That's funny I just decided the same thing. I think I'm going to take the Monday/Friday off of spring break so I two three day weekends. I do have this Friday off but I needed a break about a month ago!
