I have a dc facebook page. Recently I have started thanking parents on the page and posting a picture of anything they bring to us. Mostly goodies but also donated toys. Well, now it is like the parents are trying to out-do each other. We have been getting a steady stream of delicious goodies and all kinds of donated toys. Who knew!?!?
This Is Definitely Working In My Favor!

I don't want treats (or I will eat them) and I don't care for the toys that I have had donated*, so I think I'll pass on this trick!
*a parent donated a HUGE kids KARAOKE set to me. Complete with WORKING microphone! It was returned to them THAT DAY.6 kids are LOUD ENOUGH! :

The goodies are awesome! I give them to the kids at snack time paired with milk and a fruit. That usually leaves just a couple leftover for me. Yum! It helps cut my costs too.
As for the toys I have gotten some great stuff! A big dog ride-on toy, a Handy Manny tool bench, and a nice exersaucer, also a baby monitor. I got a few small super hero toys so I let the kids play with them that day then it was see ya later!- Flag

: I always do this is great, sometimes you just have to get creative
.
I keep an eye out on the FREE section in CL for garage sale leftovers and toys left on the curb and if close enough I'll swing by when I go out to get my pre-schooler or DD from school. I've posted things like "Look what a nice neighbor donated to the daycare today!! What a great way to recycle used toys!!" and then all of a sudden for a week the DCP's start bringing their unwanted toys ::.
