Where Do You All Change Diapers?

I have a changing table in a bedroom, but for the children who can stand, I change them standing up if it's only a wet diaper. I have quickly realized that I need to move the table somewhere else or come up with another solution. It's hard to move all the kids to the bedroom (my main daycare room is my living room which is down the hall from the bedroom) because they are all so young and I feel unsafe if I leave them in the room while I'm changing someone even though it is gated off. I have two 7 mo olds, an 18 mo. old, 20 mo. old and 2 1/2 year old. I do admit that I have quickly changed a child on the carpeted floor before ( I have one of those waterproof sheet things) so that I wouldn't have to haul everyone in the bedroom..shhh

How did you get full so quickly?

I have a changing table but it's been a pain to use, I've been using the floor

I have a traditional changing table in the corner of my playroom. All my kids are in diapers - having to pull out and put away a changing pad would be more of a pain for me and I don't like having to get down on the floor to change them - rather lift them up to my level.

I started with a pad....it drove me nuts. I got a traditional ch. table and love it. It is soooooo much easier. All my kids are in diapers too.

How did you get full so quickly?

All I did was put an ad on CL and I had 3 children start within 2 weeks of each other! I can have 6 children. I have 3 full time children(2 are brothers), 1 part time child, and one is my own son. I also have had numerous calls, texts and emails and have an infant waiting list for the summer (I can only have 2 under 18 months). I am surprised at how quickly this all happened, especially since I live right next to the state capital and there is something like 146 home daycare's in the area (I think) and numerous centers and church daycare's! CL really works I guess!

All but one (recently potty trained!) of my DCKs are in diapers.

I do it both ways, changing table or floor (I have a mat I use & sanitize). It depends on the kid and/or my mood! ::

I have a changing table in the bathroom (really big bathroom), and another in the laundry room on a shelf above the washer/dryer. However, in a pinch, I have been known to throw a towel on the floor and change a baby wherever (shhhh...even outside )

I don't have a changing table in my bathroom but I change the DCK's wherever needed, using a changing pad. Spray and wipe off between uses.

I bring it outside, on walks or anywhere I might need to change a child.

I have a changing table in my daycare room. I have the area seperated into two spaces, there are no walls. One has a small portable crib, a small pack and play, a short bookcase and changing table. In a pinch I use the couch. I have 3 in diapers with only one day a week with them all here. Most days I have 2 in diapers. So its pretty easy to manage.
