    Wipe Please!

I know this may sound like a crazy question, but I have this 2 year old dcb that everytime we go potty and he poops he wants me to wipe his behind.I hand him some tissue and instruct him on how to wipe and that is it. I am sorry, but I'm not wiping nobody's behind that is not in diapers.

Do you'll wipe bottoms that are not in diapers?

When they're that little I do. I stop at 3ish. I let the kids use flushable wet wipes. MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Even my 7yo leaves skid marks sometimes if he doesn't use the wet wipes. (Hell, even my husband does. Oh he would kill me if he read that!) I get them at Costco

Also, if the kid's potty trained before 3, I'd be happy that the wiping is all I have to do!

:::::::: I have laughed so hard at your post the kids are asking me, "what Mrs. Alicia"? ::

Oh okay. I guess I probably need to start helping this fella out then, he has a bm every trip.

I have them "try" because they have to learn eventually but I help out afterwards I don't really want to smell stinky butts all day!

That's my whole thing, they have to learn. All of my dcks have everything done for them at home. I have a 3 year old that don't know how to put his shoes on, button his pants and the list goes on and on.

This. When they are 3 and I am confident they are not going to get poop all over, then we transisiton. I'd rather wipe a butt, than find poop on toilet handles, seats and sinks.

I have them do it so they can learn how, and then I use a wet wipe to double check until I'm sure they know how to do it. i don't want to see skid marks!

He actually does pretty good at. I talked to mom when she came today at pick up and she said that she doesn't help him at home either, so she doesn't understand why he wants me to help with it here:confused: I guess he just doesn't want to do it!

That's pretty true! I will teach them, but I won't wipe them (however, if they WERE younger than 3 I would).

But, typically NO. I DO NOT wipe. But, all of the children that wanted me to wipe have all been 3+. I once had a 5-year-old little boy who insisted I did it. I felt extremely uncomfortable even being asked and no, I did not do it.

I had a 4-year-old that came here not knowing how to do these things. We live in a really strange world.

As far as the DCK doing it at home and wanting you to do it at daycare, I also have one like that! He WILL be lazy if you let him and boy does he try. ::

That sounds like him. If he had his choice, we would eat all day! It's a struggle trying to get him to do anything else.

I have them wipe and then I do it myself for 2 yr olds. and never flush flushable wipes they clog up the sewer line including the city line.
