    Pillows?

What kind of pillow do you use for your daycare kids at nap time? I've always used regular full size pillows, but now that I've redone my blankets and naptime supply storage I'm looking for a much smaller pillow. I've searched online but don't want to spend $20+ per child just for a pillow. Thinking of making my own...

    Thanks!

I use travel pillows. They are about half the size of a regular pillow or smaller. I bought them at either Target or Walmart.

That was my plan. I went to walmart last night. Ours doesn't carry them. No target in my area. I looked online. They are not available online from Walmart (instore only). I'll check online at Target. Thanks for your reply.

I use the travel pillows from Wal-Mart also but I haven't seen them there in a long time. You could always use inexpensive throw pillows.

I bought some color your own drawstring backpacks from oriental trading. It was $6 for 12. I let the kids color them with sharpies, ironed them, cut off the strings, stuffed them and sewed up the end. They are holding up great, an awesome size (6x10) and worked out to about $1 per pillow

Hey, this is a great idea!! I have some of these from oriental trading in my closet! Do you wash yours? I wash all my nap stuff every friday, so I want to make sure they'll hold up to laundering. Or maybe I could get a pillow case for them...

I wash them ever Friday. The colors fade a bit but not too bad.

I use travel pillows and cases. I found mine at Target, it was around $3 for the pillow and $3 for the case.

Do you yourself use pillows? I do, and I would definitely be uncomfortable without one. I would never not give a kid a pillow unless they said they didn't want to use one.

Same here. The only ones who ever ask are the parents.

I have never given the kids pillows either, and no one has ever asked for one.

I do not give the children pillows for their cots, either, and they have never asked for them.

I wouldn't feel comfortable just washing the pillowcase for the children and would need to wash the entire pillow for my sanity. I'll save myself the hassle!

I was thinking the same thing. A pillow cover will not keep the pillow inside sanitary when kids drool and whatnot.
