Your Rate Compared To Local Centers?

This is a spin off thread. How do your rate compare to the local centers close by you?

I charge $5.00 less than the one daycare center less than a mile away but I open 1.5 hours later in the morning and close 1.5 hours earlier in the evening. They are open 6:30-6:30.
I charge about the same as the Preschools in the next city over but offer more.

For a toddler/preschooler I am about $10-15/less per week & for infants I am about $25/less a week. Of course my hours are not as lengthy- the local center we have in town is open 6:30 am - 6:00 pm & I am only open 7 am - 4:45.

My rate is $25-$50 per week less than centers locally.

my rates are about $5-$10 less for 3-4 yrs and about $15-$20 for toddlers and about 25-30 less for infants. My hours are also less with most centers in the area being 6-6 Iam 7:30-5:00 I also that off 2 weeks at christmas and the week of spring most centers are only closed on the major holidays.

My rates are $25 less per week than the one center in town. But I open at 8:30 and they open around 6am. No thanks!
I close at 6 and so do they, but soon I will change that to 5:30

Centers in my area all charge more than I do. I charge $165/wk and centers in my area charge $200+/wk for FT.

I charge $25 a day. The closest center to me (tutor time) charges $70 a day. The "Little Scholars" school charges $60 a day, and a center in a lower income part of town (but is mostly AHS kids) charges $45 a day.

They technically do a lot more than we do, so I guess it's normal. But, I think centers are right for some people, and family daycare is right for others.

I charge 165.00, centers here are way over 200, some close to 285.00

I charge 135 for over 18 months. The nearest center (which I wouldn't recommend) is 155. The better centers in town are around 180.

I charge 150 for infants. I think the centers around here charge over 200.

Centers here charge much more than in homes.

Our infant rate is $150-160.00 and most nice centers around here are over $200.00.

Local centers have different rates for every age group (140.00-180.00) and we only have 1 rate for over 2 and that is $140.00.

I'm a little different in that I charge one rate for my spots no matter the age. I only have 3 spots. So this means that for toddlers I charge about $200 less per month, for 2/3 I charge about the same but for preschoolers I end up charging slightly more. My home and program are totally different than most if not all centers around here so it works for me.

On average: $50 less for infants, $40 less for toddlers, $30 less for preschool than the closest centers within 20 miles. Still about $50 MORE across the board than the SAHMs on Craigslist, but I refuse to waiver!

Center Rates range from $160 - $222

Above age 2 rate is $125
Center rates range from $130 - $160

I open at 5:30am and close at 6:00pm
Centers open at 6:30am close at 6:30pm

My rate for infants is $5 less than a center 5 blocks from me and for toddlers I'm about $10 less for toddlers. They open from 5:30a.m.-midnight and I open from 6a.m.-6:30 as of right now. My hours will be changing April 1st, so I'll be opening later!

Same here! The sahms on Craigslist kill me with those rates!
