I wash it if it's food, paint, dirt and replace it back into the cubby.

Urine or feces gets double bagged and sent home. It's a reg here that I can't even rinse it, and I have had parents question it and I have had to show them the reg.

If they get wet or dirty then I will change them into their spare clothing and keep the dirty set and wash them with other daycare stuff only because parents tend to forget to bring back the spare clothes or replace it. If they get #2 on their clothes then I just bag the dirty stuff and send it home. I can't wash it here or scrape it or rinse it since my sinks are all used either by me for food prep or by the daycare kids to wash their hands. I won't wash them in the washer either since I was the blankets and DC toys in it not to mention our own clothes.

I did in some cases. If it was thr difference between sending the kid home in a tshirt and a diaper, then yes...

But after awhile I just sent them home half naked if I had to...how hard is it to put shirt, pants and underwear in a bag and send it to daycare

Nope, not once. My washer has not been near my chid care rooms in either house I have done care in. But I still wouldn't do it if my washer/ dryer was close @ hand!

I will dump the poop into the toilet but no way am I scrapping or putting forth a huge effort to get it off the undies!

I will wash them if they are not poopy and I have some other laundry to do. Something just grosses me out about poop in with our clothes. Poopy clothes get bagged up and set outside the door!

I double bag dirty clothing and send it home to be washed. On rare occasions, I have washed infant outfits, though, because the parent forgot to provide a spare outfit.

If it was pee and they didn't really have any other clothes (like if the parents forgot to replace a back up pair or the back up clothing is too small) and had to borrow a loaner that I had; then I would probably wash it (chances are parents will not bring loaner back). It also depends on how much of an "accident" like if it was a baby who leaked through a daiper or a kid that had a mini accident before making it to the bathroom and there was a little wet spot but don't want it to annoy them or get on anything else while it dries than I would probably just use a little soap and rinse and let it air dry (or use a blow dryer). If it was a food stain I would probably try to get it out before it settled so it doesn't ruin the shirt (I hate it when stains wont come out of good clothes).

If it was number two- just because I wouldn't be able to handle the smell all day or want any kids to get into it and because it will make it harder to clean later for the parents if it settles in- I would probably try to dump most of it out in the toilet and rinse it a bit (over the toilet with a showhead attachment-wearing gloves the entire time!) but after that I would just put it in a plastic baggie and have the parents wash it at home. I doubt after a long day of working with adults and dealing with their cr@p all day that the parents would want to hear "Here's a big bag of your kids cr@p, enjoy! " I don't get grossed out too easily- as long as I have a protective barrier.

If I am needing to wash cot or pack n play with it, then I will through the clothes in. Also, I prefer to just wash that outfit and keep it in return. Then I don't need to beg for more clothing. I guess it depends on the situation.

I am the weird one, I suppose, but yes, I wash whatever needs washed (assuming no laundry related allergies.)

Poopy clothes, blankets, pack and play sheets,...go home. No way would I wash them, and our regulations say no.

Wet clothes go home. I put them in dry ones and send the wet ones home. I require 2 sets of extras in case they forget to return clean ones the next day. If they "keep forgeting" and have no extra clothes here, they can't stay.

Wet bedding is usually washed here.

If I'm already doing a load of laundry, then I will throw it in to be washed. But most of the time I just send them home. I once had a mom accuse me of stealing 2 of her dd shirts. Then tells me a week later that when she clears her house she found them!

Absolutely NOT!!! I throw away underwear that has poop in it. I will not put poopy and urinated clothes in MY washer machine. YUCK

I bag all soiled clothes in a Publix bag and send it home with them.. If they don't have a change of clothes in their bag, they go home in a diaper or pull up, whatever I have available.

I require two sets of clean clothing in the cubbies at all times. I bag all dirty clothes but will clean linens or anything else that stays in my home. If they are COMPLETELY out of clothes, I will wash (no bm) with a laundry fee (I keep a jar). I don't charge to nickel and dime but I do only use Dreft or natural detergents because they are so young and sensitive but it is VERY expensive.
