How Much Should I Charge?

I have a dc family that I watch full-time for $155/wk.

They want me to watch dcg this Saturday from 8a - 7p. Mom and grandma have an all-day class to attend.

What should I charge?

At least $50..I wouldnt do it for any less. It depends on how bad you want the money, and what kind of relationship you have with the family, or you could charge an overtime rate of $10 an hr..maybe then they will find someone else if you dont want to do it....

If you normally don't do Saturday care, I'd charge double the weekday rate which would be $62. Even if they break it down by the hour, it's still less than a regular babysitter.

I just added this to my handbook. Nights, weekend and overnight care may be available if I dont have any other plans, but it will be at my overtime rate of $10/hr. If I am going to do it, it has to be worth my while, and I figure, they would really have had to explore all other options first before asking me at $10 hr...

So what did u decide??
