    Nasty 3 yo

So I have been watching DCG3 since she was 3 months old. Her and my daughter are like sisters and can act like it sometimes....

But today DCG has been especially nasty. She has been hitting, spitting, telling all the other kids she doesnt like them or doesnt want to play with them. She has also been aggressive and destructive with the toys.

I have never seen her be so rude and mean before.

Any ideas on why or what I can do to stop it?

    Thank you in advance!

    Re:

I would put her down for a nap. If she is acting out of character she is probably just overtired from the weekend.

I would think something changed at home????

I would just redirect her as much as possible...if that doesn't work...a good old fashion Time Out should do the trick.

      Good Luck

I would become her shadow. DCG would do nothing unless she was less than 3 feet away from me and I would correct/redirect unwanted behavior all day long if needed. Then I'd have a private conversation with her parents to give them the heads up and ask if there were any changes or issues at home and then go from there.

Maybe she is overly tired (daylight savings caught up with her)? If this is new behavior, I would address it with the parents. Was she around someone new or stayed someplace new over the weekend?

Is she an only child? If so, I think I have the same child!!!!!!

I have had her since she was 3 months, too. She has been a BEAST!

I blame some of it on the time change, but most of it on that "spoiledrottenitis" I think she has developed.

Her parents let her do whatever she wants. Yesterday, she told her mom my DS had just hit her. We were all standing there ~ IT DIDN"T HAPPEN!!!!!! Her mom leaned down and said, "Oh, honey, he didn't mean to be mean to you. He is just having a grumpy day!"

I looked at her and said, "Um, no. He isn't grumpy and didn't touch her. We have been standing right here."

DCM whispers, "Oh, I know, but it is easier to just fluff it off."

Ok. So teach your kid to lie and call my kid a grump?!????!!! Good luck in the coming years, DCM. Life is giong to get pretty tough!
