    What Is Contact Paper?

Where can I buy it? I have been reading a lot of toddler crafts that require it and thought it would make a fun project.

I usually buy mine at Walmart. It's sold in rolls right with the things like shelf liners. I use it a lot!

It adhesive paper. It comes in different colors and designs. They also have clear contact paper. I use it to cover paper for protection . Some use it as shelf liners. You can buy it at Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart and craft stores. It costs between $6-$7 dollars.

Contact paper is good for sticking things to smooth surfaces like tables, floors, walls, etc. It allows you to label/decorate things and makes it difficult for children to peel it up. You can also use it for crafts and do a non heated laminate type thing. Totally worth the investment.

I get mine at Walmart, too.

I LOVE contact paper!!!! One of the easiest and very favorite things for the littles to do it for me tape it to the wall sticky side out and let them go to town with any little odds and ends. They really liked when we did a nature walk and put our leaves, etc. on.

What are you going to use it for? I am always up for new ideas!

We are going to make Easter egg sun catchers. Using tissue paper and sequence and ribbon. I saw it on Pinterest and think it will turn out cute. This will be done the week before Easter.

              contact paper

I've been wondering about contact paper, too. I'm glad I saw this here.

Can contact paper be used in place of a laminator, then? For instance, I want to make a couple of file folder games for my ds and wanted to laminate some of the pieces... can I "laminate" them with contact paper?

              If so, heck yeah! happyface

Cotton balls are great to do that with! It looks neat when they are done too.

In my experience, it depends on the contact paper. Some if it sticks together very well and others do not stick at all! I have used it to "laminate" things or put it over projects or other things that go on the wall so that the littles can't tear it off. For file folder games, I would probably get a laminator. The contact paper is bendable!
