More Fevers! Ai Yi Yi!!

One of my sweet little dcgs went home last Wednesday with a fever. She was out the rest if the week. Her parents got her to the doctor on Saturday and she began antibiotics that evening. She is running a fever now at naptime. I feel so bad for her. This must be a virus that the antibiotic isn't going to affect and will need to run it's course.

And on top of that, my youngest dcb is also running a fever!!

Do you guys happen to check temps. in the morning or at certain points during the day? It seems like everyday I have another kiddo with a fever that I seem to catch at naptime. And I am really tired of either me or my family members being sick. My youngest is home from school today with a fever.

Fevers

Sounds like we have the same problem. Parents keep bringing kids into my daycare sick too. They give them tylenol and by the time it wears off (around naptime) they have already been playing and infecting all of the other kids and staff all morning long. I have 3 kids of my own that are always sick because of it. I've been beating my head against a wall for weeks now over it. It's so frustrating! I've sent a letter home reminding parents of our sick policies and now I'm preparing to make changes to my actual parent handbook. You may want to add to your policies that children are not to be given any fever reducing medications before they are dropped off in the morning. Good luck!
