How Does This "Term" Letter Sound?

    Dear DCP,

The last day I can provide care for your daughter will be 05/31/13. I have been contacted by a former client whom is looking for full time daycare beginning in June. I have enjoyed working with N******* and your family and will miss her in my program. As per our previous conversation I know you are looking for alternative care for the fall for N****** and your new baby, so they can be together. I am happy to let her finish the pre-school year and then would like to start the full time child in June. I can't keep N******* past the 31st or I will be over my capacity. I wish you the best of luck finding childcare for your children. You can always contact the Child Care Council at 555-555-5555 for a list of providers in your area.

    Thank You,
    B*** E******

I think its too wordy and too informative. Short and sweet seems to be better.

Too long for a termination letter. Keep it simple and sweet

She doesn't need to know you have another client coming in. None of her business and it will make her feel like she's being dumped because you found another steady::

I agree with the other posts. Because you are going your seperate ways and leaving things on good terms I would compliment the child and/or child but otherwise type up a short letter. A simple,

            Dear DCM,

This notice is to inform you that as of the last day of May I will no longer be able to provide childcare services to your family. The last day of childcare for [child's name] will be Friday 5/31/13. I have enjoyed providing child care services to you for your child, [child's name] and wish you and your family the best of luck.

            Warm wishes,

            [DC provider]

Don't send.it to them too soon or they may leave quickly. I personally would give them 2-3 weeks notice.

It wouldn't be "whom", it would be "who" ...

on the part where you said you have a past client who is looking for care.

This, and yes. Give two weeks notice (or however much notice YOU require if a client is leaving).
