    UPDATE- DCP Limbo

Today is officially 2 weeks that I gave the DCP our new contract that included the newborn.

    Guess what: No contract.

    Am I surprised? Nope

Where do I go from here? Not sure.

I think I will be typing up a letter today asking for an update. This is a very sensitive issue as I don't want the deciding factor to be because I was too pushy. BUT I also don't think its very fair of her to keep me in limbo.

    What to do?
    What to do?

She is currently paying the full $200.
I have no forms on the nb including emergency transport & all of the formality forms that the state requires I have.

I am almost scared that DCM will come pick up with a 2 week notice in hand, but I do need to be prepared for that. I also think she will leave without a 2 week notice bc there is not a signed contract except with her oldest child.

UGH at least it is Friday!!!

I really hope you have been advertising and interviewing while these people take their sweet ass time making a decision.

    "Dear DCM,

While I understand that you are taking time to think through your childcare options, I am required by the state to have forms X, Y, and Z in my possession. I cannot care for A & B until I have these forms required by the state.

Also, I would like to remind you that my signed contract is due today. If you do not have the signed contract by the end of the day, please make other arrangements for A & B because we cannot continue the current situation without an agreement in place. The contract protects us both and spells out what we each expect out of the arrangement.

    Thank You"

Yes this. And if you don't get a response by this weekend I would send one last email on Sunday which says

      "Dear DCM,

As I have not received the required forms and contract from you for [younger sibling] I can only assume that you have decided not to continue child care for him. If I am incorrect in this assumption please accept my apologies and contact me as soon as possible to confirm that I will in fact receive a signed contract for [younger sibling] tomorrow at drop off. As I explained before, I cannot care for [younger sibling] until I have these forms required by the state.

If the required forms and contract are not delivered by tomorrow I will begin advertising to fill this opening. I hope that you can understand my dilemma and can contact me as soon as possible to confirm whether or not to attempt to fill [younger sibling] spot.

      Thank You"

I sent a letter home today.

I stressed how important it is that I have the state required forms on file and that even if she signs my contract she is still entitled to a 2 week notice.

I tried to be very professional, yet very real.

I feel sick to my stomach
