    Payment Question

I have one family that has payment due tomorrow but there is a big storm moving in this way later today. I opted to close an hour earlier than usual just in case and I honestly don't expect to work tomorrow if there's no school.

Do I ask this family to pay today just in case or do I wait until tomorrow since it's not due til then? And if I'm closed, do I still tell them they need to pave their way over here to pay me?

I'm over here in NE, and I just realized that my DCM that picked up early today more than likely won't be here tomorrow and I didn't ask for payment. I'd just ask for a check JUST IN CASE, and suggest they post-date it if you/then prefer. That way you're covered, but they don't have to worry about coming in on a day off!

I just sent dad this text:

"Not sure if it's possible but if you could please pay today (just in case of closure tomorrow.) You're welcome to postdate a check if you'd like. Thanks"

Guess we wait and see... I'm not too convinced they will. They usually pay cash on payday (Friday).

Good luck! It's harder with a check rather than cash, since they may or may not be able to get to the bank a day earlier. It just started to snow here, but it's just the pretty stuff so far : )
