Daycare Name NIGHTMARE!

Hey everyone! So, I'm due to open my home daycare soon and I NEED a name! I've had a few ideas...but they are either WAY too over used, way too wordy, or super cheesy! Could I ask for some help please?

One name I like is Cherished Moments Childcare...the ONLY negative I see though, is that these years of a childs life ARE cherished moments...moments the parents have to miss to provide for their families. Am I reading way into this? Also, is this a very over used name?

Ha Ha.... Yeah...I figured It wouldn't be the greatest name.

My street is S 17th St... Not much to use there...

You could google Childcare and get some ideas. You could use your first name or last name. The name I hear often is Home Away from Home ......so maybe steer clear of that one.

I considered Munchkin Manor and Cradles to Crayons but ended up going with something different based on popular vote from my family.

Choose something meaningful to you. I'm german, so my dc name is children in german, "kinder" something, which in english happens to mean nicer, so..

If you're into gardening..."Little Sprouts"

If you're into ducks...."Just Ducky Daycare"

If you're speciallizing in infants and toddlers, "xx infant and toddler center"

If you want to play up the family part "xx family childcare"

then, make sure no one around you has the same name, especially if they have a bad rep or have lots of citations on your states website.

Think about things that go well with your name or things you like or the age groups you will be caring for and if you don't find anything you like just use your name for now and you can always change it later.

Mine is called Lindsay's Learning Garden. I have to say, I never use the name. I did my first year, when I was recruiting clients and needed promotional stuff. Now, I actually cringe when people say it.

I guess if I had to do it over again, I would go with something very basic, like "W~ Family Child Care" (I work in that school district, and only take teacher's kids).

I do love Tiny Toes, though. And I also really love Cradles to Crayons.

Maybe Over the Rainbow Childcare or Munchkin City...hmmm, I kind of love Munchkin City. I could be the Mayor of Munchkin City.
