For those with Assistants, what do you do while they are working? Are you with them the whole time playing with the kids, or do you just do your own thing until she leaves?

It depends on the number of kids for the day. If it's a super busy day then I am there the whole time with the kids playing and working. If it's a slow day, then I will hang around and do laundry, clean up, or pay bills. -
Same here!
Also, if we are low on numbers I use that to my advantage and take my son out for special day together or if he's in school I have some Me Time
