Just when you think you've seen it all...

Brand new SA family started this week. On day one, I get an email from DCP telling me that they sent the money for the rest of the month... TO SCHOOL WITH THEIR ELEMENTARY AGE CHILD. IN CASH. Of course, when they got here, the child didn't have it, because it was left at school! DCP's were in a panic thinking that it got lost... what did they think was going to happen? I saw that coming a mile away. Thankfully, the money was located at school and is now in my possession. Sometimes you just have to giggle.

On a positive note, new child is great. Good manners, gets along with everyone else, listens great. DCP's seem to be great as well. We just need to work out the bugs as far as payment goes, . Fingers crossed!

Oh my.

I don't even trust my 8yo's lunch money with her. I'm always afraid that she'll lose it or that someone will take it from her back-pack so we make her a sack lunch instead. No way would I send my kid to school with cash that's more than the equivalent to a car payment

Holy cow, I had to send $.50 with my kindergarten baby yesterday and there were major lectures on not losing it.

my ds went to school and paid cash for dgd lunch ticket. the next day her account was empty. they had no record of the cash. I told him ALWAYS get a reciept if paying in cash.
