I am so frustrated. I can't express that to you enough. I have all 3-5 year olds (with two 2.5-year-olds) if that helps to know.
I have had one child since he was 2.5 He bit back then and I finally got that stopped. He pushed, he hit, he tackled, etc. It would go through phases and not all be at the same time. He is now 3 years and 2 months old and every single day he shoves kids to the ground and laughs hysterically thinking it's a game (DESPITE going to time out every single time he does so and getting told hands are for hugging NOT for pushing) and he will randomly tackle kids if I have my back turned for a second to prepare lunch, use the restroom, etc. If he does it during Center Time I now have him play with tabletop toys on the table so that he cannot physically interact with the other children. It is getting dangerous because they fall near wall corners, chairs, etc. It happens at outdoor play as well and all I can really do is put him in time out every single time (yesterday it happened 3 times during outdoor play in both the morning and afternoon)!
I have tried talking to the parents. They tried increasing wrestling time at home. It slightly curbed the behavior but now it is back full force. I asked them this week to talk to him daily before coming to keep his hands to himself. I review the rules HOURLY that we do not touch our friends. Seriously, hourly. I have him say, "I will not touch my friends." or "I am a good listener." or "I will make good choices!"
I am pregnant and so very tired. It is made worse by repeating myself and it having no effect and to add to the matter I also have an almost 5.5-year-old here who does SIMILAR things (not the same, though). What would you do?!
