She showed up at her usual pick-up time, and I was very annoyed with her. I didn't say much, just handed her the baby and said goodbye.

She sent me a bottle of wine this morning...so she clearly knew I was angry at the whole situation. Honestly, I really don't understand people at all!!!!

Make up gifts always remind me that they aren't as clueless as we think. They were aware they were taking advantage of you. We live in an interesting time...

I had a dcm tell me that grandpa would be dropping child off today. Usually that means that dcb will be here 15-30 minutes later than his usual drop off time. She said he will be bringing in his valentines.

Not only did he not get here until an hour after his normal drop off time but when I went to look at the valentines, they aren't even filled out. They brought them in a box with a bunch of candy.

I can tell you this much, I'm NOT doing it. I'll tear them apart and pass them out with no name.

I gave parents 3 weeks and a "class list". Do them at home with your child!

                This just makes me sad

I love doing Valentines with my kids and can't imagine anyone else getting to have that fun with them.

All my daycare kiddos brought valentines for everyone, even the babies. They're all filled out and my parents put a lot of work into them. I'm so glad I haven't hit any debbie downers in that regard yet.

All of this reminds me of some parents I used to have! I would get SOOOOO mad and feel taken for granted. Every year I have a Vanlentine party for the kids. The ones that don't have them filled out just get placed in the bags anyway. If I have extra time to fill them out myself I will. Today for the very first time in 5 years, a dcb I have been watching since he was 3 months actually brought Valentine cards and they were all filled out! All these years he would take home a goody bag with the other kid's cards and they would never have one from him. Till today!

                  Hang in there girls!!happyface

I had some 3X5 index cards by the front door on which I wrote all the kids' names. Next to them was a note saying : "Take a card if you need correct spellings for Valentines, which are optional. Please be aware that I will not be available to fill them out or to help kids fill them out. They need to be done at home."
