I use it all the time with Minute Menu Kids Pro. I love it, my clients love ... what can I say. I have one client that still pays cash, one client that pays with Chase QuickPay (we're both Chase customers) and the rest ALL pay with ChildCarePay.
I even had one DCM move and leave my daycare then later call me and ask me what the program was called so that she could show her new DCP and try to get her to sign up ::. That's how much she loved paying electronically through it.
As far as it being reliable it uses 64-bit encryption ... meaning that it's the same security that the gov't uses to give out disability direct deposits. I've never had a problem with it as in I've never had a lost or delayed payment. The negative about it is that it takes 5 days from the point that the client pays to the point that you get it cleared in your account.- Flag

Thanks, I was looking at the page but could not find a place to sign up for it... Don't understand the Minute Menu, I read is more for the program than for the provider or am I wrong? can you help me with this? would love to give this a try, I think it would help stop late payments. And once i give it to the parents I give it with a notice telling them that payment needs to be set for Fridays and problem solved.- Flag

I believe that ChildCarePay works only with Minute Menu Kids Pro, not separately. The way it works is you sign up for Minute Menu Kids Pro and then sign up for ChildCarePay. ChildCarePay in itself is free but they charge $1 per transaction no matter how much the amount is for. You decide whether you want to eat the cost and claim it as a tax deduction on your taxes (100% tax deductible) or whether you want to charge your clients the extra fee.
You use Minute Menu to invoice your clients and Minute Menu either sends them the invoice through email or you can print the invoices and hand them to them. You create an account for the electronic payments in Minute Menu and it creates a login and temporary password for the client. The client then goes home and signs in to ChildCarePay.com and changes their password and enters their bank information. They then can click on invoices and print receipts or pay invoices. When they pay for an invoice through ChildCarePay it removes the amount from the invoice in your Minute Menu (so it keeps track of payments for you). They can pay all of it or part of it.
The Minute Menu program seems like a lot money all at once but for a whole year you can track all of your income and expenses, attendance, meals etc. At the end of the year you print the reports and hand them to your tax preparer and you're done. It's really worth it IMHO.- Flag

I LOVE it and use it with Minute Menu Kids Pro as well.
The only issue I had was when a "check" bounced through it. There was insufficient funds in the parent's account, yet it somehow marked their balance as paid until ONE WEEK LATER when they said it did not clear and could not be placed into my account. That client had been attending for one full week without having their account paid in full (I have a no pay, no stay arrangement). They were so embarrassed that they delivered cash to me that evening with enough to cover the $4-ish fee from ChildCarePay and some to make up for the hassle.
This was within this last month, so a recent event. But, otherwise I have had zero issues with them for almost a year!- Flag

You can use it individually if your food program does not offer it to you for free. It is $69.95 per year (I just checked their website). It is totally worth it and would be tax deductible.
