    Unconventional – But Full

When our family decided that opening a home daycare was the best option for additional income/second career for me, we thought that it would take some time to get off the ground. I thought with me having 4 children of my own that people would be deterred.

Well I am happy to announce that all 4 of my openings are filled. I have 2 full time kids, 9 weeks and 3 years. And two part time (siblings) 3 and 1. While I could fill the additional 3 days with 2 more children, I think this is the perfect mix for me to get my feet wet.

I do have a very unconventional schedule, that I hope that I don't regret in a few months. However right now it is heavenly. I am so grateful. In addition to this schedule I have my 3 year old daughter everyday. We craft the 2 days a week I have all 3 of the 3 year olds and we do a small lesson.

    Mon. - 5am - 3pm (9week baby)
    2pm - 6pm (3 year old)
    Tue. - 5am - 3pm (9week baby)
    8am - 6pm (3 year old)
    6:30am - 6pm (siblings 1 and 3)
    Wed. - 5am - 3pm (9week baby)
    8am - 6pm (3 year old)
    6:30am - 6pm (siblings 1 and 3)
    Thurs. - 5am - 3pm (9week baby)
    2pm - 6pm (3 year old)
    Friday - 5am - 3pm (9week baby)
    8am - 6pm (3 year old)

I personally think that's the best way to start - to ease into things. Glad you are full.

You're working long days though, Girl!

Wonderful! I do think that's they way to get started. As time goes on, you can start taking clients who have more traditional scheduled if you want to.

It's some long hours, but doable.

I agree with pp who said you had a great smile!

That's great. 5am to 6pm is a long day, but as time goes on, you can get new clients and shorten your days if you want.
