I can be pretty loud around the preschoolers but my two babies are super light sleepers! Example: I get on the computer and they hear the typing on the keyboard...instant awake!! Ack!! LOL I only have control of one sleeping environment so I'm assuming parents keep their rooms very quiet!

Sigh, I don't mind telling them to go play I didn't get to eat (baby fussy etc) but my one child literally begs and begs and begs and then if I do get him to go play he sits across the room staring at me. I feel horrible eating in front of him like that.

I'd tell him once, "Go play, please!" and then IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE. Walk away if you have to. Keep walking away. Pretend you don't see him/hear him when he is asking for more food when it isn't his mealtime/snack time.
How come you can't give more food? The food program allows you to give more you just can't claim it.

I eat breakfast with the kids, right at the (little) table. The kids love it and parents get a kick out of it, and it gets them to LEAVE when they drop off. I eat a snack when they do (usually not the same thing as I don't eat any grains/my only carbs are from veg & 1 fruit/day) I eat lunch when they go down for nap as that's never the same. I eat PM snack with them and dinner after they leave.

        If I need to eat (or my kids) I just say "It's ______ snack/lunch time. Your's was/is ______"

They also need to learn that meal times are at meal times, and that's that. When they move on to school there is ZERO time for grazing/snacking so I think it's important NOT to feed them all day, everyday.
