Looks Like I Made DCM Mad

I didn't notice until TODAY when I was staring at one set of the cubbies that I noticed that the child who was supposed to have their last day here on Wednesday had NOTHING in the cubby. The Mom had completely cleared it out of all the supplies that they are required to have in there. I'm surprised she didn't rip off the name tag in the process of silently cleaning out his cubby and leaving. I received no word on Friday that it was his last day. No word yesterday that he wasn't coming anymore. Nothing. His account is paid in full.

Looks like I made DCM mad on Friday when I kept turning around DCC and saying, "Time to go bye bye." when they kept trying to return to our fine motor play at the tables. I did it at least 3 times and the preschooler was throwing a tantrum but I stood my ground. Once your Mom/Dad is here, it is time to go. She did not look happy with me and silently left. I was with the children so I didn't watch her helping him get ready to leave (she was EARLY picking him up by 1 hour).

:: She sure showed me ...! My days now end at 5:00 instead of 6:00pm.

I had that happened before too, but the mom I had made a big deal about cleaning out their cubby..didn't officially withdrawal but did an oscar winning performance at taking everything from their cubby and storming out the door.

Then the next week when she realized she could not find any one that did the things that I do with the kids she brought everything back and acted like it never happened.

If she showed up an hour earlier, I wonder if she was planning on it anyways, not necessarily because of the 'bye bye dck.'

Either way, good for you for getting to be done an hour earlier.

Either way, I don't mind one bit! happyface It has been a lot less stressful here working slightly shorter hours (I still have early mornings until the end of this week) and not having a really young 2 here.

Kind of weird to not say goodbye, though. Everyone that has withdrawn before has gushed about how wonderful of an experience it was (even those that I helped to term themselves...). Never had someone who just walked out and never said anything despite me being with her child for 55 hours a week.
