Okay just throwing this question out there, does anyone out there have any good part time or side jobs? I've been getting a bit overwhelmed with doing child care right now and just needed some ideas?

If you've got a craft talent I know a lot of people with Esty stores.
I do virtual assistant jobs on the side (usually research/data entry, web design, or scheduling tasks from odesk or elance)
I have a friend who makes a couple hundred working on taskrabbit.com (he "specializes" in Ikea furniture assembly and moving help but there's all kinds of things)- Flag

I heard some providers on here are also Avon/ Mary Kay ladies- the best thing about doing something like that is that is you can cross promote- most of you ideal customers will be women who most likely have kidsand you can give some of your pamphlets to your DC moms (or dads who want to get mom's a birthday/chrismas/anniversery gift). If your not the shy type, one of my mom's friends did "Pleasure Parties" (its not as preverted as it sounds- also called passion parties) but I would probably avoid telling some of your more concervitive daycare parents because some of them might get flustered or freak out.
If you have any other talents you can also teach classes/private lessions at a community center/college, such as knitting, sewing, crafts, cooking, yoga, instrument/music.
You can also look into getting certified to instruct CPR/ first aid or babysitting training/ baby care through the Red Cross- you can teach your staff for practically free and advertise to train local providers so you will get to know your competition- Flag

There's also companies that you can google and "work for" on a task by task basis or be designated to a certain person/company. I haven't tried them though so I'm not sure how they work.
I've done things on elance and odesk from set up and transfer data to excel sheets to scheduling appts (virtual personal assistant) to selling things on ebay for people. I just bid on all the ones that look interesting (or quick in some cases!!)

I use to do companionship for the elderly. You aren't required to bathe or change diapers, it is just a companion. You do errands, play cards, drive to DR appts. The people are mostly "with it" but just need some extra help. It's low key and easy.- Flag

I work for Plexus Worldwide as an ambassador. I really love it bc if things get to hectic from daycare or just life in general I just stop doing it. There aren't any contracted hours. Its like selling avon or mary kay but you don't have to buy $400 make up kits. Sorry Im not a girly girl so I don't even do my makeup. They sell products like Plexus slim which is an all natural weight loss packet that looks kind of like the crystal light packets, you just poor the packet into a 12 oz water glass and watch the weight fall off. It's a very easy job bc you just share your results that you have with friends or neighbors or even just people you know on FB (since I'm in Germany right now that is the majority of my business)
