Pj's at drop off, especially LATE drop offs. So yup, today it would be dropping off at 9:30am in pj's, bed head and crabby from no breakfast, when we are on our way out the door for our walk.

Attempts to linger at drop off.

Carrying your 4-year-old child in every single day and carrying them out. Same parents expect to hand off their 4-year-olds to me, which I do NOT do. I am in a high risk pregnancy and don't pick up anything heavy. Especially 4-year-old children.

I get that they're Mommy's baby/Daddy's baby and that snuggles and sweet affection is a great thing. But, that child can walk into daycare. They really can. It isn't far. It will be okay. They aren't carried at all throughout the day here.

I've had parents tell me, "WOOPS! Almost forgot their Show & Tell item/hat/piece of paper! Had I forgotten I would have been banging on your door at 10:00pm!"

as I think "and I wouldn't have been answering!!!"

Noise at nap time! My center is a block from a high school. School gets out at 2:15. Hey, talk to your friends, laugh, whatever. But screaming obscenities and playing your stereo so loud it shakes the whole house, not cool.

I'm a daycare provider and carry my 4 year old in from the car to visit with grandparents. It has zero to do with his ability to walk in and all to do with comfort and needing that closeness feeling of reasurance before seperation.

As long as parents dont expect me to carry their older child I don't care how they come to daycare as long as they are under control.

Children coming in with a soggy 1/2 eaten bagel, with butter all over face and hands.

Kids in same clothes as yesterday.

The caveat DCB/DCG has an ear infection, spit out medicine and did not sleep today, really fussy... See you at 5:30 (my closing time)... Really?

Walking on my carpet with shoes on (gross!).

Kids not behaving at pick up and parents not doing a thing about it.

I've never had to do that so I guess I just never looked at it like that. I guess I can understand ... kind of. Even though they've been coming here daily for quite some time ..............

On that note, parents who take their older children's shoes off and put them on for them.
