    Hi! How's it Going?

I need a connection to the outside world today. Four kids in the house, two of them are mine. One of mine is climbing everything he can (and some I didn't know he could or would!). One daycare boy seems sick, the other has a nasty cough but says he feels fine, but there's nothing definitive in either that would let me send them home. The sick-seeming one is asleep right now, hours earlier than normal, I'll have to wake him up to take my daughter to the bus and then he won't go back to sleep for naptime.

Plus, I have an important interview tomorrow AM and have to do a bunch of cleaning because I slacked horribly all week. Was counting on naptime to get it all done. Now...yeah, not so much.

    So how's it going?
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

It is flippin' cold here today (-25F) and I am down 4 DCK's so it is a nice quiet slow day.

I have 2 DCK's out sick with the noro virus, 1 spending an unexpected day with Grandma and 1 who has a mom who is taking a mentally health day and keeping the child home with her because it is cold.

I should be working on my taxes but somehow can't find the motivation to get going on them.

    Good luck with you interview!

It's cold here as well... -5 actual temp, Brrr. My DH's company is moving (15 min closer to homehappyface so they are letting him work from home. This is awesome so I'm not dragging kids in cold weather to bus stop. I have 4 boys (all 3 yr olds) 1 of them is mine and he's being a cuddle bug and the others are playing pretty nice today (hope I didn't just jinx myself). My just turned 1 yr old DCB was kept home for a fever. So, it's pretty cushy here today, trying to get some coursework (outside play) done....makes me wish for warmer weather!! Debating a craft, everything is going so great-- don't want to interrupt their traffic jam to the pirate ship, where someone's out to get their gold!!

Hope your day gets better Silver...

All I know is I am SO glad it's Friday! I have a DC brother and sister that have been at each other all day....I am ready to enjoy the weekend that's for sure VERY cold here, as soon as my DCK's leave I'm lighting the fireplace and pouring a nice glass of wine!

I love this post Silver- I too come here for outside world time. I like to converse with grown ups after talking with my little's all day. At least feel like I am part of the outside world. Thank goodness it is Friday. It has been a good week, but I am ready to be done and have to think of only my family for a couple of days. Think part of it is it is the Winter blues- Sometimes I think I wish my days/life away. I really don't. No more then I would at any other job. I just look forward to the meaty parts of my life. I enjoy my job and my kids, but I work hard and so I play hard come the off work time. I look forward to time with the people I work so hard for and love.

I have some kids that are destroying the joint no matter how many times we clean. It only happens when dck is here, other days everything is neat and clean. And I'm sad, (posted in the other forum) so I'm not motivated either.

Some of my best interviews have been when my place was real. Not over done. Do what you can and don't fret about the rest-

Not dealing with daycare kids today (as I'm closed Fridays, to work my other jobs). But still have so much stress going on. Most of it is "good" stress. We own rental homes (this is one of my husband's side jobs), and we are buying a new one - so my husband wanted me to run errands for the loan application (I told him "NO!" I'm not feeling well and have my own full plate! I spent all morning cleaning our upstairs, then moved down to the main level.

We are going to family camp this weekend - so I'm packing for that. We leave for our sunny vacation in 8 days - so I'm packing for that, too. I just took on another volunteer role, so I'm filling out paperwork for that. And I'm trying to go through our office to work on taxes - first I have to "find" the office, as it doubles as daycare library, boardgame storage, sewing room, lego room, infant nap room, and storage for everything else without a place! No small feat, will probably take me until April, then we'll have to file an extension anyway...

My usually difficult 3 yo has been awesome today! I should count my blessings!

4 DC kids today and they are behaving so well Friday's I don't do much with kids, is my cleaning day so is basically free play all day long while I do chores in the house, that way i avoid letting things for the weekend and can spend more time with fam. So that's been my day, laundry, cleaning and more cleaning, cooking... Tired!

It's cold here too, altho the real temp has finally hit 1*, it is still -10 with windchill. Can't wait for early next week when it is suppose to be in the upper 20's!! Bring on the shorts::.

Today is a crazy day here. The kids are out of sorts from not being able to get outside in 2 weeks. We have done a lot of dancing and stretching! Dh's schedule is weird with school and work. He lost a client due to the client pulling a gun out on him , so he is trying to get others scheduled. The only ones he has been able to fit in are into the evening, so he hasn't been home before 9 and by then, I don't want to talk to anyone.

Good luck on your interview and hope dck isn't sick.

I'm having a slow day. I had 3 kids today ( 2 were mine) then my husband took both our kids at 11:15 to go out of town for a funeral, so I'm left with one dck....Laundry time!

I really do think my dcbaby is sick. He took that nap earlier, woke up after about 45 minutes, then refused lunch (he did that yesterday too) and took a bottle and fell back asleep around 1:30.

My DH came home early so I was able to get the kitchen cleaned up mostly. Dishes and cleaning the stove will wait until after dinner tonight or in the AM. Next up is everything else, . I never go "all out" for interviews anymore (too many ncns) but I didn't do hardly anything all week, so it's all normal cleaning! Floor and bathrooms and picking up clutter and stuff like that. Hopefully rotating toys/rearranging the playroom if I get to it tonight. Needs done anyway.

Glad most of you have well-behaved kiddos!

My3cents, I feel the same way most of the time. I work hard and love my job but desperately need time to just play and be myself, too. Be a grown-up. I have a rule with my 5 yo night owl that after 9 PM it's grown up time and I dont' care if she's not asleep but she needs to stay in her room and leave me be. Works pretty well most of the time.

Blackcat, we're positively tropical compared to your temps! Your heating bills must be freaking awful!

I had a relatively easy day with the DCKs today. Everyone got along well, no one is sick, naps were a snap. Wish everyday was like today.

But my BIL moved in with us a month ago...sleeping on our couch and it has been 1 issue after another. Today I completely lost it with him! Getting woke up by him coming in at 1 am-ish 2 nights in a row made me very crabby considering it takes me hours to fall back to sleep. After I heard him arguing with my Hubby...I found my backbone and wasn't too nice about it. Pretty bad when you have to treat a 47 year old man like one of your teenagers. !!
Instead of a glass of wine tonight I am drinking the whole darn bottle...
