    What A Difference In Clients....

I let all my daycare parents know that I was having some oral surgery last Friday and that we would be open, but that I would not be available and that my husband, son and daughter would be holding down the fort. They took care of me as well as taking care of the daycare kids.

Most of the parents wished me well on Thursday. Not this one.

Her kids showed up on Friday as per normal. By the afternoon, the 4 year old has messed his pants twice and the 2 year old was running a fever. My son called to have them picked up. The boyfriend showed up and openly admits he knows they're sick.

Then yesterday, they arrive at 6AM. Boyfriend drops off and says "Their mom is home today, but she needs a break."

Fast forward to 6:30 AM. The phone went and it's another DCM. She tells me
"I'm not bringing the girls today so you can have a lighter load."

She's a single mom who commutes 40 miles to work every day. She said
"Their dad doesn't work today and I called and told him he had to tend them so you could have a lighter day. No arguments...you do so much for me"

So even though she was paying for the day, she was sweet enough to think of me. It's clients like HER that make me keep going and just shake my head at others.

I am so sorry about your disrespectful clients (I will never understand bringing sick kids to daycare) but soooo glad you have one awesome, considerate client! great daycare parent!
