    Expecting....and Nervous

So I just found out that I'm expecting.lovethis It was a totally unexpected but welcome surprise.

My issue is with my job. I feel almost ridiculous getting pregnant not even six months in, especially after all the work I did and blessings I received to leave my last job and get to this one.

I replaced someone who went on maternity leave, and when she came back, she was a floater. I really dont want this, but she had her baby last year almost the same time as I'm due this year (early September) and I totally see this happening to me as well. Also, there are two other girls who will be going on maternity leave in the summer...

I haven't told them yet, I only found out a few days ago. I wouldn't not tell them, plus I'm pretty much showing already anyway. Im surprised no one has asked me yet. Any ideas on what I should say?

Congrats! Must be something in the water there! ::

We had a gal hide it until she was 7 months along! I don't know what she was afraid of - we were all very happy for her and had a little shower for her one month later! Rush, rush! LOL

                Congrats! happyface

So, you want to know what to say to them so you don't have to return to them as a floater and you're worried they'll be upset since it's only been 6 months since you started? I'd just be honest. This was a surprise to you and one you are happy about! Also let them know you are happy with your position and that you'd want to return to it and what are your options for making that happen? I'm sure with all the people going on maternity leave this year it will be a bit of a shuffle, but if you're honest and tell them upfront what you want to happen, they will respect that and perhaps be more inclined to consider you first for your open and honest conversatio with them.

All you can do is be honest and hope for the best! No one would be upset that your preggo now, it's not as though you were already pregnant when you applied for the job and lied about it or left out that part of information! This just happened....nothing wrong with that!

Just focus on enjoying your pregnancy! Things will work out but for now, dont spoil this awesome time by worrying about all the possibilities for the future. Congrats!!

Thank you all! I know I need to stop worrying...it just keeps coming up in my head.

You ladies have given me a little perspective, as usual.

Congratulations!!!! I would just tell them, they are going to know sooner or later anyways. That way it's off of your mind and you don't have to worry about telling them anymore! It's not good to worry too much when you are pregnant...
