    Check Cashing Question

Can I take a client's check to their bank to cash even if I don't have an account there?

I have a family that gave notice and we didn't end on good terms. I'd like to make sure the funds are there so I don't end up with nsf fees later down the road on top of trying to get the money again.

Yes you can...they may charge you a small fee to cash it.

Yes, you can. AND, if there are not funds in the bank to cover it, keep the check and just call the banks phone number daily to check to see if funds are in there.....it should be all automated.....then run down and cash it when they least expect it

You can, although some banks will charge a fee, but that might be better on possibly totally losing out on the money.
