DCM And Me Applied For Same Job!!!

OMG..... I just found out that one of my daycare Mom's and me are applying for the same job!!!!! I am looking for part time work and a leasing agent position opened up at the company I worked for prior to me opening my daycare. It is part time T/Th 5-7pm and Sat 9-3pm. It would be PERFECT for my schedule and allow me to downsize my program a bit. I am friends with her on FB and she posted how excited she is for her interview there tomorrow. I will not be devastated if I don't get the job...but how will she feel if I get it? What do I do? I have 3 years experience with the company so my chances may be better then hers. YIKES...didn't see this coming!:confused::confused:

If you get the job I would feign ignorance and pretend that I didn't see the post and then not tell her about getting the job.

If she gets it then, she gets it. Not really much to do about it then but I'm thinking that since you already worked there and if you left in good standing that you're already a shoe in considering that you already know the ropes and your way around the job . Good luck.

Well...I was hired! I had my first week last week and I love getting out of the house 10 hours a week. I work T/Th 5-7pm and Sat 9-3pm. I am downsizing my daycare to two daycare friends and will have a weekly paycheck to supplement my income loss. DCM that applied has not said a word, so we are good!

I don't think she knows, and I plan on keeping her child. She is well aware that I worked for the company for three years prior to opening my daycare. I am not planning on telling her. I am so excited to have co-workers that don't have boogers to wipe, diapers to change or that scream, screech and run around.

                        How awesome, congratulations!

I would definitively not bring it up especially if she still doesn't know that you applied for the same job. Ha ha but wouldn't that be funny if they suddenly hired an extra employee and it turned out to me DCM ::. That's a conversation that I'd like to see . I'm just glad that you got the job you were hoping for, good luck!!!

Congratulations! Try not to help your new coworkers with their coats, or ask them if they need to go potty, or cut up their food for them :: Enjoy!
