New Family and Rates

I have a child starting the end of the month. I told the parents the fee per week and they decided that the max they would be charged is 4x the weekly fee. hahaha, this comes out to be less than what we agreed on. I sent them an email with a break down of what they will owe and they wrote back with a different amount.
I feel like they don't get that they are bringing their child to my place of work, I don't work for them. I sent them an email telling them that the rate is weekly and not monthly and haven't heard back. I hope it doesn't end up being a big deal but it is really annoying. I have been really lucky with my families and if someone had an issue with the rate they stated it when we first spoke about it and if it made sense I would work with people. This family however is already getting days off without pay and the entire summer off. The reason I was willing to do this is that my own kids are home and so a smaller group is nice.
My fear is that they will be a pain about other things and don't seem to understand that they are bringing their child to a group setting and the day can't revovle around her.

I would simply not take this family. If they dont understand now and are already giving you problems it will just continue once they are there. I learned the hard way. People want everything for nothing. I had one mom tell me she was only paying me a certain amount because I work in my home and how hard can it be to watch kids. Really??? It's very hard to deal with other people's kids and honestly we dont get paid enough for what we deal with.
