    Child Food Program

    Hello Everyone!

    As i pretty new to this Forum im still navigating around

    im looking for a better understanding of the Food Program and how it wrks??
    from what im thinking basically you purchased the food yourself and get rembursed later correct?
    what about baby formula?? are we purchasing that ourselves too?

    any info will help thanks

      Thanks for the link! I was trying to figure out how to explain info about the CACFP and couldn't think of how to word what I was saying. This seems to be one of the topics of the day.

        glad you found the link. I am not sure if it works that same from county to county or state to state, but I did not find out what tier I was in until the food program worker came out.

        To answer your question, you do not get fully reimburse for all of the food that you purchase. You are allowed to claim up to 3 meals and 1 snack for each child that are present during those meals.

        You will have to participate in filling out a daily online food log and submit monthly reports to make your claims.

        It does not pay a ton, but its something. I spend about $975.00 a month or more on daycare food and get back about $450.00

            kinda... you claim 3 eating times a day. That can be 2 meals and a snack or 1 meal and 2 snacks.

            some sponsors have online claiming ( which I love) some do not. But you do have to do it daily ( or for some at the time of serving food)
