How Much Do You Referee Between Infants?

    I have 2 infants (10 m. & 11 m.) both are VERY strong willed.

I have duplicates of almost all the baby toys (and many others) but it doesn't matter. They each want whatever the other one has. While I cleaned up snack they sat 5 feet from me and grabbed a back pack from each other very aggressively.

They flip out if they're separated.

How much do you referee your babies? Do you let them figure it out as much as possible but intervene when it's absolutely necessary? Or are you right there every second? I can always see them, but I hate being "on top" on kids...kwim?

Honestly I would separate and out of sight if it's possible to still supervise them both (ie: separate play yards while I prepared lunch). I would only have them play together if I could be sitting right with them.
But I only take on one infant at a time for this very reason

If I am not next to them or supervising closely, I would separate. If they get separated enough, they will get used to the idea that screaming about it gets no attention. Have a PNP set up for this, a play yard or a high chair. something that keeps them safe and separate. if they start getting aggressive, someone could get really hurt and you will have a lot more than crying babies to deal with!
