My 5 yo grandson has been pretty sickly this year with sinus and ear infections, plus asthma. He has been to the ER and urgent care a total of 5 times, plus 3 drs appts. since Thanksgiving. He's also been running high fevers off and on since Christmas. His dr has decided that whatever is going on with him is above her and has sent him to an allergist and also a pulmonologist.
My daughter was explaining to him that he is going to see an allergist in a couple of weeks and will be having some blood drawn and some scratches on his back.
He told her, "I know, I have a lot of allergies."
She asked him, "Really, what are you allergic to?"
He said, "I'm allergic to fish, shellfish, crab, and shrimp." (He's not allergic to any of them, but his mom is very allergic to shellfish.)
He looked up at her and said, "Oh, I'm also allergic to ALL fruit and vegetables. I can only eat chicken fries and pizza!"
Sorry, dude, as long as I do the cooking, you'll be served other foods as well.
