    Baby Refusing Bottles-WWYD?

Baby was out for 6 weeks because she was super sick (started w/strep throat from family member, 2 days after finishing antibiotics for that she caught norovirus from another family member, while she had noro she vomited & aspirated some of it then ended up w/aspiration pneumonia.)

When she came back (mom kept her home for an extra week even though she was given the all clear by the pediatrician) mom brought a Dr note for extra calorie formula bottles as baby had lost 5 lbs while sick . Instead of the usual 4 scoops of formula per 8 oz of water we were doing 5 scoops of formula per 8 oz of water.

Baby has gained back her weight happyface

Unfortunately, now she won't drink "normal" bottles (4 scoops to 8oz). Dr cleared her for going back to normal bottles & I have the Dr note for that as well.

Mom & I brainstormed what to do & the first thing we both came up with was to basically "wean" her back to normal bottles. Do a little less powder in each bottle until she's back to 4 scoops.

My question is, do I need a Dr note for this method? My feeling is Dr cleared her for normal bottles & I'm wondering if I'm just being nitpicky by making mom go get ANOTHER dr note (and yes, she would have to go all the way to the office for it (40 min away) as they won't fax/e-mail it).

I would go back to wean off just as you and the mom thought so that the little one goes back to normal with feedings...
