    the way I look at it, it seems like the family is putting their problems onto you. Who cares that they live check to check, so does everyone else. If they are looking for cheaper care, it was way before they decided that they couldn't afford you. If they are having a hard time paying now, who's to say that they don't leave early and don't pay you your penalty because they have no money, then you are out. Personally, I would do a discount a week, like instead of 30 dollars a day I would ask for 25 dollars a day.

    also, if they are looking for cheaper daycare what are they looking to pay.

      well heres the thing....not that I want to get to deatiled about it, but the DCD just lost his mother who used to live with them, pay some of their mortgage and also participate in dropping and picking up the kids. It's not like they went out and spent all of their money and now don't have any. Yes it is their issue, but I am also in a very tough spot as well and want to try to keep my business financially stable. Give and take...
