Mine was pretty darn good. Only 2 today. A baby & a SA.
Baby was my first drop off-fed her breakfast, played a bit, then a bottle & went down for AM nap. Slept for 3 hours
Her norm is an hour so it was a bit of a suprise that she slept so long. Though it did give me a chance for some one on one w/the SA.
While baby slept we did a messy art project & played some board games. Baby woke up, we played a bit, then had lunch. Usually baby goes down for pm nap after lunch but that wasn't happening today.
SA got to watch a movie (special treat as I don't have a tv in my dc room) while I cleaned up lunch/played w/baby/watched parts of the movie w/SA.
Around 2pm it started to go downhill. SA was "starving" due to eating 2 bites of her hot ham & cheese sandwich (which was "delicious" until she found out that it had cheese on it) & a piece of cauliflower. When I told her snack was at 3:30 she then wanted my complete attention and when she didn't get it she tried various ways of getting it (not picking up, pretending to be sick, whining, etc.) Took care of that right quick.
After baby was picked up around 3 & SA had me aaaall to herself for the next 3 hrs, she wanted nothing to do w/me.
All in all not too bad for the first day back and a SA who isn't used to being here all day.
FWIW I did have sensory, science, math & art stations set up appropriate for SA age but SA wanted nothing to do w/them unless she had my undivided attention.
How did everybody else's day go?
