Another Christmas...No Thank Yous :(

Another year, another homemade gifts for the parents.......not 1 thank you from any parents for their gift! This year the kids worked 3 mornings on their parent's presents. It just really bothers me

And I made sure I personally thanked each parent for their gift they gave me!

same here... we spent a lot of time and money on the gifts we made and not one person said thank you at all..

I hand wrote each family a thank you note and hand delivered it..

Oh well, I can't be upset for them not responding the way I wish they did..

the kids had fun doing it and that is all that really matters

I have never gotten a thank you, but it's true we do it for the kids and I'm sure the parents thank the kids 4 the gift.

The parents are accepting a gift from their child, so they probably thought to thank their child and not their provider.

I don't do handmade gifts for the parents, or any gifts at all. I am a firm believer in no crafts for kids, only open ended art so they don't get to take home cutesy stuff to Mom and Dad as presents, and I don't have to worry about whether or not they appreciate it.

Yep, no thank you's here either. I sent home gifts for each child (10) as well as homemade parent gifts (and 1/2 of those were done twice since I have alot of seperated/divorced parents). Not a single thank you or any mention of any of it. I sent home a Thank you note the same day I received a gift to any that gave me one.

I may not bother next year!

I don't expect thank you's from parents so I don't feel bad when it doesn't happen.

Like Crystal said, they know their child made it so they'll be thankful to their children not the provider. I can't remember a single time that I have ever thanked my DD's teachers for crafts that she brought home for holidays ... my DD made it for me, not the teacher KWIM?
