    Here's My Schedule- Whatcha Think?

A little bit of background- When my babies were little they never could stay up very late (before it was nap time) and always preferred an earlier lunch. Also, we've had the same bedtime routine here since they were sleeping through the night. They go to bed early so they can get plenty of rest. (by 8pm) Families have contracted hours mostly between 8-830. This is just a framework, we don't HAVE to do this. (I do have to submit a schedule to my licensing rep. though)
With this in mind I made up my schedule, let me know what you think.

    7:00-8:30 Arrival/ quiet play

    8:30-9:00 Wash hands/ Breakfast

    9:00-9:30 Clean up/ Wash Hands/ Brush teeth/ potty breaks/diaper changes

    9:30- 9:45 Circle time/ calendar/ weather/ morning story

    9:45-10:30 Outside play

    10:30-11:15 Group activity/ art/ centers (their choice)

    11:15- 11:30 Clean up/ wash hands

    11:30-12:00 Lunch

    12:00-12:15 Clean up/ wash hands/ brush teeth/ potty breaks/ diaper changes

    12:15-12:30 Story time

    12:30-2:45 Nap

    2:45-3:00 Snack

    3:00-4:00 Afternoon walk/ Outside Play

    4:00-5:30 Centers/Departures/ Free Play

Our nap includes time for settling down, sleeping, and gradual wake-up for those that need it. I know some will have shorter naps and others longer but I wanted to make enough time to accommodate both. I really wanted nap time to begin at 12 but I'm not sure what I would change to make that happen. I also wanted to fit in another snack but I might just make the last snack "dinner" and breakfast a "snack".

I am still unsettled with my schedule (only my 1st month licensed family childcare) but fwiw that is very similar to the full-day center's schedule I worked with & it seemed to work well

      What is your schedule?

I put my meal times down first, nap time second, and then I filled in the blanks.

what ages do you take? there are a lot of younger kids that would not be able to get up before 7 (if they have the earliest drop off time) and stay awake happily to 1230. I guess it depends on what drop offs and what kids you have. Also, do you have anyone that still needs a morning nap? nobody drops morning nap here till 12 or 18 months.

Most drops off are at 8:30, and I have a younger group. Those that need another nap can take one. Also, my infants have their own schedule.

It might take you more than 15 minutes to do the circle time. And for lunch, depending on what ages you have... Lets say you have a couple in high chairs and 1-2 at the regular table . And am infant or two. It may take you a bit longer sart to finish if you have to stop to change an infants diaper, or between preparing/serving lunch to different kids( and feeding thise eho can't self feed yet) OR if an infant just so happens to want a bottle at the same time.
I have 3 right now including my own son and it usually takes me an hour to complete lunch . He & dcg can feed themselves(14&15 months) but they are also learning to eat with a fork so I help with that by showing them how to stab the food/pre load food . And the infant who eats lunch with them gets spoon fed in combination with learning to self feed too. I clean them up&change diapers one at a tome while the rest wait on me, until its their turn.
Im trying to eat part of my lunch too half the time.
