    I Love Policies!

Because....when a child gets sick while they are here you must pick them up within 30 minutes. And when I was asked if she was allowed to come back the next day I referred them to my handbook which states that they need a full 24 hours symptom free-- so unfortunately the answer was no. My new 2013 policy is actually that if they get sent home it's a full 48 hours...

I've considered the 48/hr policy. Good choice. It helps deter dose and drop.

I might have to tweak that portion of my policies for 2013.

Aboslute BEST "new" policy I ever learned from this forum (thank you CH ).

Can't believe how such a simple rule can eliminate so many issues! Wish I would have thought of it or learned of it earlier...could have solved so many illness issues years ago.

I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone who doesn't use it but has issues with sick kids.

I actually had a parent get MAD that I wouldn't let her sick child come today because I am off for a week and a half. Seriously.

Yep. 48 hour policy is THE BEST. Havnt had one issue after I started with it. Well I think it was that and my "if your child is on medication your child is too sick to attends daycare" rule. No more "dope-and-drop" issues for me either .
