    Oh my!

We got a little snow last night (8-10 inches). My dd 11 was outside playing and I hadn't seen or heard from her in a while so I went out to look for her. I thought it would be a good idea with the blizzard warning and all. Anyway, I saw her spread out in the snow with her face in a drift

I pulled her out and she said, "Mom, why did you do that! I made a snow cave and I was warming my head."

What?! I just about had a heart attack when I saw her because she looked like she was passed out in the snow.

I also get a daycare snow day My Christmas vacation starts a day early!

Sounds like something I would have done as a kid. When I was three or four I learned how to go limp, gracefully fall off the swing but leave one foot hanging on it. According to my mom it was pretty scary looking. I only did this when company came over. I'm still a big jokest/prankster type person so this really doesn't surprise me that I did this, this small.

What really cracked me up about your post was "a little snow 8-10 inches". If we had that much here it would be declared a national disaster and the whole area would be shut down-::

We had a 2 hour delay recently for a skiff of snow. Literally it was stuck on the grass but didn't stick to the roads. The snow fall lasted 10 minutes-tops!

The "little snow" comment was a joke. It is pretty major around here too. My crazy husband drove to work in a blizzard warning today. So, I think I was a little on edge when I found my dd in the snow I maybe would have been a little calmer if I hadn't been worried about my dh also.

Exactly! Next time I'm going to take a picture of her first so I'll have evidence of how she looked ::

In my mind just enough to barely cover the ground. Just my own wording-sorry for any confusion!
