    Ticked

I told all my parents tht I had to leave today at 9:00. Of course 2 kids aren't here. I am pulling out of my driveway at 9:05, with or without kids.

If either child shows up, I'm POSITIVE that neither will have been fed breakfast.

I actually had that last week. My dd ride to school fell thru and I told everyone what time I was leaving. One said, well I can't wait until you get back, so I guess you will have to take them. I said fine, be here by 845. Well, 850 came and I left. Then waved to him as he turned the corner down the street.

I am sitting here, getting angrier by the minute. My helper is loading the kids right now. I will be leaving, with or without the kids.

Don't get angry, just go and when they call, tell them what time you will be back. They can come then, or find alternative arrangements.

            So, what happened?

I wouldn't get upset - next time just leave and don't think twice about it. Not your problem that the irresponsible parents end up being out of daycare for the day.

The last mom showed up just as I finished buckling the last child in. I took her child and off we went.

Well hopefully when she pulled up and saw that you already had the kids strapped in and ready to leave with or without her child she thought
                    "OH $&!#".

Maybe now she knows you aren't messing around .

                      yeah hopefully.

when i have to leave at a certain time to take my daughter to school, I always let parents know that I am leaving at X time, meaning I am rolling out the driveway at that time and will not stop, even if I see them pull up. Kids need to be AT my front door (not out in the yard or out in the car with mom) 5 minutes before my leave time so I can load them up into my car. If they are not there 5 minutes before leave time, they are late! If I see mom rolling up and running toward my van at the last second, I dont wait, no exceptions. You see how rigid I am. The parents all knew I was serious and didnt care if they sat in my driveway waiting for me to return. No one has ever been late on those mornings! If you make it inconvenient for them to break the rules, they wont do it.

I would have been backing out of the driveway at 8:59. Their problem, not yours!!
