My Finished Gifts For The Kiddos!

A while back on the thread about gifts for the daycare kids, a couple of you asked me to post pictures of the finished hats for the daycare kids. I made each one according to what they like- one is a train hat, a flower hat (with interchangable flowers), and one is a Minnie Mouse hat!

Thanks everyone! I really enjoy it. I find that I can crochet while I'm watching the kids during free play time; or during nap. And I love to crochet in front of the TV at night as it calms me down from a long day.

I WISH I could make a successful full time business at it; but the reality is that each hat takes between 3-5 hours to make (depending on the hat) and hats like them sell online for between $20-$30 at the most. It just isn't worth it for the time it takes to make them! I do, however, sell them as a side business, and I make them in my spare time. I plan on opening up an Etsy shop soon to expand a little!

I would be interested in buying if you are selling right now....do you have an FB page? My husband makes handmade wooden toys and I have found that we do a lot more sales by word of mouth, FB and local craft sales then on Etsy. There is just so much competition for similar hats on Etsy I think.
