    Stuffed Animals

Do you have them? My kids are all 3 and under, I think they would like stuffed animals but I look at them and I see GERMS. How do you keep them clean? Some of my kids still drool, non of them cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze so I feel like I would have to wash them every day. Would throwing them in a hot dryer for a few minutes kill the germs?

I have a small amount of stuffed animals and yes, daily, a hot dryer will work.. You can spot clean them and toss them in. Then on the weekend just wash them all. I have a VERY small group but they all sneeze and cough and drool on the "hard" toys as well.. Its impossible to clean every single toy every single day. You can also mist them with the disinfectant spray that is intended for fabric (as well as hard surfaces) after they come out of the dryer.
This is just how I do it here and so far it works for me

I second the washer and dryer. I also add a small amount of bleach and it's never stained anything.

My state star system requires stuffed animals and soft things. Thanks for the great tips!

We wash ours in the washer on the "delicate" setting, as you would with a normal load, and then dry as usual in the dryer.

We have 2 because I also see germs. How often are those of you who wash in the washer doing so?

I do it once a week. Should I be doing it more ...?

Only infants have stuffed toys here. I have dedicated toys for each kid (only the stuffed toys, ). I wash them once a week with the bedding.
