Oh wow..NAEYC accreditation

Whew- just spent my Saturday at work (center) helping my lead teacher get ready for our upcoming NAEYC accreditation inspection. This is my first time working in a daycare and I'm amazed by how much we have to document....welll...everything .

Congrats!!!! I'm unable to do NAEYC. Ive only got 10 But an NAFCC accredited and it was so worth the effort!!!!

Our center is accredited (went through it before I started there) and I'm a bit nervous for reaccreditation because the binder in our room doesn't look like any of it has been updated since they put it together 2 years ago. :-( It pretty much has to be done over again at this point.

Good luck with your upcoming inspection. I bet you'll do great!

oh no heyhun- that stinks that it hasn't been kept up. I just started 3 weeks ago and am really nervous about the inspection- I've never worked in a childcare setting before. But thankfully all the lead teachers are great about constantly adding stuff to their boxes for the binders.
