    Please encourage me! LOL

Please tell me you find time to eat. I am having a very hard time finding time to eat. I sit here starving most of the time since I can seem to really eat. I will grab a bit of toast, but most of the time I have to take care of one of the dck and it gets forgotten about.

And I only have two dckids... that is a problem....::

At this rate I may beable to loose a few pounds ... at least you would think!

I eat breakfast while I'm preparing or serving it. Never is it sitting down. snack times work the same. I eat a seated lunch once all of the DC kids are down for a nap. I know that it's better to sit and eat with the kids but honestly I havn't figured that one out yet. I try, I really do. It just seems like as soon as I sit down with them someone needs or spills something.

Daycare allows me to keep my svelte figure

No, in all reality, I usually graze a little while serving breakfast and then eat my main daytime meal during nap time. My nap time is religious! It's the only meal I eat all day where I'm not being interrupted a million times. It's like in the movie A Christmas Story: "my mother hasn't eaten a hot meal in 10 years."

not eating is the worst thing you can do to your body...

I read a recent article where they stated that there was only one other thing worse than a mc donads breakfast and that was not eating breakfast at all.

I am a grazer and also don't have time to sit for full meals, but I make sure I get those needed calories in.

I eat a handful of almonds for breakfast, an hour later maybe a protein bar low in carbs. 45 min later some carrots and hummus. Then apple and so on I do this all day while drinking lots of water, herbal teas and my one and only poison....coffee..

There should be no reason why you can't pick up an apple or ready to eat piece of food.

I would imagine that your body is going through the ringer by it getting into starvation mode all of the time???

I have 12 children here (+ an assistant) and we rotate eating. But, sometimes I will just sit down on the floor with the kids and eat a ready made food. Apple, banana, nut bar, string cheese, yogurt, etc. for breakfast. I also tend to make smoothies since they are very quick to throw together (add a veggie, lots of fruit, coconut milk, ice) and are easy to tote around in a water bottle.

Oh, boy, I have the opposite problem! When I taught in a classroom, I only ate at mealtimes. Now I work in and around my kitchen!! It's dangerous. :-)

I do family-style dining and eat with the kids. We chat while we eat, so meals take long enough that I have time to eat pretty well.

Do you do family style? (food in serving bowls on the table, so you're not hopping up to serve all the time?) Are cleaning supplies accessible to kids so they can help with clean-up when spills happen and it's not all your responsibility? Does your routine allow for something for the kids to do when they finish eating without you, so you don't have to hop up the second the first kid is done?

You've got to eat! I'd be happy to help figure out routines that could help if you'd like to share more details.
