Half-Tempted To Wear A Surgical Mask...

DD has a low-grade fever and is coughing and hacking. DCG just sneezed all over the big box full of legos (and telling her to sneeze/cough at her elbow leads to tears and hysterics). DCB1 and DCB2 were both sick with fevers over the weekend.

I feel like I'm locked in a cage with the plague. I do not want this. I have to make flax jelly (best stuff EVER) later for DD and I may make some for myself as a precaution...because I do NOT want to get sick. No, thank you.

Keep your plague germs to yourself, squirts.

Basically it's an old, old remedy for sore throat, cough, congestion, etc. You boil 2 TB whole flax seeds with 1 cup water, flavor with honey and lemon, and drink it quickly as soon as it's cool enough. It's full of Vit C and Vit D and probably some other immune boosting things as well. It has a texture that can be difficult to get past, but it's so worth it.

I have drank it when on the verge of getting sick, and felt better within hours and never got the rest of the way sick. It is WONDERFUL stuff!

Oh wow! Thank you for sharing. I am so going to make some of this.

I hate this time of year when the snotty noses start and they are coughing and sneezing all over everything. Not to mention how miserable and cranky they all are!

I ALWAYS get it right in the face when I am changing or picking one of the dc babies up. It never fails!

            Hoping you stay healthy.

And yes we do need a like button feature. That would be awesome!

I think you can get them at the regular grocery store in the natural foods section.
