    No!!!

Make sure you have a contract, handbook/rule/policy book and clearly go over your rules on interviews. Leave no room for this poo-

Days off are far and few between, enjoy them and get paid for them and don't think twice.

Just tell her, No, it is a paid holiday for me. Please don't ask me this again. It puts me in an awkward place to have to tell you NO-

    The nerve:confused:

I would simply say, oh I"m sorry since I have the day off I have made plans already. If you say you're going to check with hubby you might get into trouble because they're going to ask again if you're not firm. You can't use that line every time. You're just going to have to flat out say no. The way I look at it, if they're not afraid of upsetting you by asking, then why should you be upset by saying no?

the more you give to the daycare families, the less you have for your own family. If that doesnt give you a kick in the bum to say no, I dont no what will. If you cant say no for yourself, say no for your family! They need time with you without other peoples kids around. I can guarantee that "one movie" will turn into a movie plus a meal plus Christmas shopping. you WILL have these kids all day. Dont do this to yourself! They knew your holiday and sick policies coming in so you have nothing to feel guilty about!!!

I've found that lately I'm already shaking my head no before they even finish asking the ridiculous question. I can't help myself.
